The day is finally here!

We are thrilled to welcome you to the launch of West End Hospitality Group—a culmination of almost 30 years of passion, hard work, and a deep love for hospitality. Founded by Craig and Kate Macfarlane in a small rural town of Inglewood Taranaki back in March 1995, our journey has been one of growth, challenges, and most importantly, creating unforgettable experiences.

From that humble beginning, we have co-founded and opened over 30 hospitality businesses, with today seeing 15 proudly situated in the beautiful locales of New Plymouth, Dunedin and Queenstown, New Zealand. Each of these establishments represents a labour of love, a testament to our commitment to excellence, and a celebration of the warmth and joy that hospitality brings.

We won't sugarcoat it—hospitality is tough. It's the long hours, the late nights, and the unexpected challenges that keep us on our toes. But it's also the laughter shared with colleagues, the stories woven by our guests, and the satisfaction of creating moments that linger long after they leave our doors.

WEHG is about celebrating our people. The ones who live and breathe this day to day and make it happen. The long hours and sacrifices witnessed firsthand could easily deter anyone from the hospo game, yet, here we are, because the warmth of our family group, the passion for what we do, and the fulfilment of giving someone a truly memorable experience is unlike anything else.
